Bondada Engineering Ltd has achieved a significant milestone by securing a ₹392 crore order from NTPC Green Energy Ltd for a 300 MW utility-scale solar power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. This order marks Bondada Engineering’s first engagement with NTPC Green Energy, bringing a major public sector client into its renewable energy portfolio and reinforcing its growing stature in India’s utility-scale solar EPC market.

The company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for executing the Balance of System (BOS) scope of the project. The contract encompasses end-to-end responsibilities, including engineering, procurement, site development, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant. In addition to EPC execution, Bondada Engineering will also provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of three years following project commissioning. The overall execution timeline for the project is 15 months from the date of the LoA, underscoring the company’s ability to deliver large-scale projects within defined schedules.

This project represents a strategic breakthrough for Bondada Engineering, as it demonstrates the company’s capability to meet the stringent technical, quality, and execution standards associated with projects developed by leading public sector entities. Securing NTPC Green Energy as a customer not only enhances Bondada’s credibility in the renewable energy sector but also opens the door for deeper participation in future public-sector-led clean energy initiatives.

Commenting on the order win, Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bondada Group, said that the award reflects NTPC Green Energy’s confidence in Bondada Engineering’s execution capabilities and technical expertise. He noted that the company is committed to delivering the project with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability. He further highlighted that as India accelerates its transition toward clean and sustainable energy, Bondada Engineering is proud to contribute by executing large-scale solar infrastructure projects that support national energy security and climate goals.

The Lalitpur solar project is also a key contributor to Bondada Engineering’s growth trajectory. Following the receipt of this order, the company’s total EPC order book has crossed 3.3 GW, providing strong visibility for revenues during the execution phase and reinforcing confidence in double-digit growth prospects over the medium term. The scale of the order book reflects Bondada’s expanding footprint in renewable energy infrastructure and its increasing focus on large, utility-scale solar developments.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, plays a central role in India’s renewable energy expansion, with a strong focus on large solar and wind power projects aligned with the country’s net-zero and clean energy ambitions. By partnering with experienced EPC players such as Bondada Engineering, NTPC Green Energy aims to accelerate capacity addition while maintaining high standards of execution and reliability.

Overall, the ₹392 crore Lalitpur solar project represents a strategic and symbolic win for Bondada Engineering—strengthening its EPC portfolio, enhancing its standing with public sector developers, and positioning the company for sustained growth in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy landscape.
