Atlas Copco Introduces XAS 58 and XAS 78 Compact Portable Air Compressors!
Atlas Copco has launched its latest compact portable air compressors, the XAS 58 and XAS 78, developed for construction and industrial applications where space is limited and operating conditions are demanding. The new models address the growing need for efficient, mobile compressed air solutions that maintain productivity in confined and rugged environments.
Compressed air is essential for powering pneumatic tools and supporting critical operations on remote and dynamic job sites. As workspaces become smaller and tougher, Atlas Copco’s new compressors are engineered to deliver reliable performance without compromising mobility.
The XAS 58 and XAS 78 support a wide range of applications, including pneumatic handheld tools, sandblasting, cable blowing, and other industrial uses. Their compact design, combined with dependable output, ensures consistent performance across varying site conditions.
Mobility is a key advantage of the new range. With a weight under 750 kg, both units can be towed by standard vehicles, eliminating the need for specialised transport and enabling quick movement between locations—helping operators save time and maintain efficiency across multiple sites.
Designed for durability, the compressors feature Atlas Copco’s HardHat® canopy, which is shock resistant, along with a reinforced, corrosion-resistant metal frame. This robust construction ensures reliable operation and long service life in harsh outdoor and industrial environments.
Maintenance and serviceability have been simplified to minimise downtime. Intuitive controls and easily accessible service points allow for faster inspections and routine servicing, helping operators keep the machines running smoothly with minimal work interruptions.
In addition to versatility, the XAS 58 and XAS 78 are engineered for cost efficiency, offering up to 12% improved fuel consumption along with reduced transportation costs, lowering overall operating expenses. Commenting on the launch, Prasanna Kulkarni, General Manager – Power Technique Customer Center at Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd, said the new compressors are designed to meet real job-site needs by balancing portability, durability, and fuel economy.
Atlas Copco Group continues to drive industrial innovation through solutions spanning air and gas compression, vacuum and abatement systems, automated assembly and inspection, and power and flow equipment. In 2024, the Group reported revenues of BSEK 177 and employed approximately 55,000 people worldwide.
