Skyjack to Showcase Next-Generation Electric Access Equipment at CONEXPO 2026!

Saturday 20 December 2025, 9:31:34 AM

Skyjack is set to unveil its latest generation of electric scissor lifts and articulating boom platforms at CONEXPO 2026, scheduled to take place from March 3 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As North America’s largest construction trade exhibition, the event will serve as a key platform for contractors, rental companies, and fleet managers to experience Skyjack’s newest access solutions focused on productivity, fleet efficiency, and cleaner jobsite operations.

The company’s upcoming launches reflect the construction industry’s accelerating shift toward electrification and sustainable equipment without sacrificing performance or reliability. According to Skyjack President Charlie Patterson, the new lineup has been developed with close attention to real-world jobsite requirements, ensuring dependable operation across construction, industrial maintenance, and infrastructure environments. He emphasized that the machines are designed not only to support operators in their daily tasks but also to help rental companies improve utilization and long-term returns on investment.

One of the headline introductions at the show will be the SJ5545 E electric drive scissor lift, which becomes the tallest slab scissor lift in Skyjack’s portfolio. The model offers a working height of 51 feet (15.55 meters) and a platform capacity of 770 pounds (349.2 kilograms), making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Engineered for stability and precision, the scissor stack features fully welded cross-bracing that enhances rigidity and delivers smoother operation at full elevation. The lift can be driven while fully elevated and includes a two-person wind rating at 22 feet (6.7 meters), reinforcing its suitability for varied jobsite conditions. A large, all-steel platform further improves durability and provides ample workspace for operators and tools.

In addition to scissor lifts, Skyjack will present new articulating boom models, including the SJ45 AJE+ and SJ60 AJHE+, part of its latest hybrid-electric and battery-electric rough-terrain boom family now available in North America. These machines are designed to operate effectively on uneven outdoor terrain while also meeting the requirements of emissions-restricted indoor environments. By offering electric and hybrid powertrains with performance characteristics comparable to traditional diesel machines, Skyjack is enabling customers to transition toward lower-emission equipment without compromising reach, power, or functionality.

A key advantage of Skyjack’s approach is platform commonality across power options. The electric, hybrid, and diesel versions of these articulating booms share similar dimensions, specifications, and components, allowing rental companies to maintain consistent fleets while giving customers flexibility in choosing the appropriate power source. This design philosophy simplifies maintenance, parts inventory, and operator training, while preserving the strong drive performance and multifunction capability for which Skyjack booms are known.

Through its presence at CONEXPO 2026, Skyjack aims to reinforce its commitment to practical innovation in access equipment. By expanding its electric and hybrid offerings, the company is responding to evolving customer expectations around sustainability, jobsite versatility, and total cost of ownership, while continuing to deliver robust, reliable machines built for demanding applications.
