Mazak Corporation has officially opened its new Phoenix Technical Center, expanding its service, applications, and customer support footprint across the Western United States. Announced at the start of 2026, the new facility is now fully operational and will support manufacturers across Arizona and neighboring states, with a formal grand opening event planned later this year.

The Phoenix Technical Center is part of Mazak’s broader strategy to bring local, high-value technical support closer to customers, particularly in regions experiencing strong manufacturing growth. According to Dan Janka, President of Mazak Corporation, the company continues to invest in new facilities to ensure customers have timely access to service and expertise tailored to regional needs. He noted that the Phoenix center will play an important role in supporting industries that are central to the area’s economy, including semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace and defense, electronics, and related advanced manufacturing sectors.

Beyond service coverage, the new Technical Center is designed as a collaborative engineering and learning hub for manufacturers. Tony Harrod, Sales Manager for Mazak Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California, said the facility will give local manufacturers direct access to process and application engineering expertise, along with training and collaboration opportunities to develop and validate new manufacturing solutions.

The Phoenix Technical Center houses a dedicated call center, applications engineers, and sales and service support personnel, enabling faster response times and closer coordination with customers. The facility also supports a wide range of customer-facing activities, including CNC programming classes, live machine demonstrations, test cuts, and full machining system run-offs. These capabilities allow customers to evaluate processes, optimize applications, and de-risk investments before deploying solutions on their own shop floors.

In addition, the center will host regular Mazak DISCOVER technology and education events, creating a local platform for knowledge sharing, technology updates, and skills development. These events are intended to help manufacturers stay current with advances in machine tools, automation, and digital manufacturing while building closer relationships with Mazak’s engineering teams.

With the launch of the Phoenix Technical Center, Mazak’s North American support network now includes six Technical Centers and eight Technology Centers, all working closely with regional manufacturers and focusing on the specific industries and applications that dominate their local markets. The expansion reinforces Mazak’s long-term commitment to customer proximity, application-driven support, and sustained growth in advanced manufacturing across the United States.
