JCB has announced a substantial agreement to supply the United States armed forces, marking a significant achievement for the company’s defense division. The contract, valued at up to $205 million, involves delivering over 500 militarized machines to the United States Marine Corps (USMC) over the next decade.

The UK-based machinery heavyweight will provide 535 militarized versions of its 437HT wheeled loader to the USMC. This deal marks the third signed contract between JCB and the US Marine Corps. Just five months ago, the USMC placed a $45 million order for the militarized 4CX backhoe loader, following a $39 million agreement in 2024 for Multi Terrain Loaders, a specialized variant of the JCB Teleskid compact tracked loader.

This significant contract was finalized after an extensive evaluation period and highlights JCB’s continuous support and partnership with defense organizations worldwide. The supply of test machines is expected later this year, with full-scale production slated to commence in 2027.

JCB’s defense business has witnessed remarkable growth over the last decade, with nearly 10,000 machines delivered to military forces around the globe. As part of the Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated-Steering Multi-Purpose (TRAM) vehicle programme, this latest undertaking underscores JCB’s commitment to advancing military equipment technology and capability.

JCB’s reputation as a key supplier in the defense sector continues to grow, further cementing its position as a vital contributor to global military operations.
