ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has strengthened its leadership team by elevating Yogesh Kumar Sanklecha as Head of Business Development and designating him as Senior Management Personnel, effective January 15, 2026. The decision, approved on the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee, reflects ACME Solar’s intent to sharpen its commercial strategy while accelerating execution across its growing renewable energy portfolio.

In his expanded role, Sanklecha will lead all commercial functions across the ACME Solar Group. His responsibilities will span the full project lifecycle, from bid strategy and stakeholder engagement to contract finalisation and coordination through commissioning. By placing business development and commercial oversight under a seasoned internal leader, ACME Solar aims to ensure tighter alignment between strategy, execution, and long-term capacity expansion plans.

Sanklecha brings more than 25 years of experience within the ACME Group, making him one of the company’s most experienced leaders. An MBA Gold Medallist, he has held multiple leadership roles across functions during his long association with the organisation. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in project development, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder management—capabilities that are increasingly critical as India’s renewable energy sector becomes more competitive and scale-driven.

In recent years, his leadership has been closely tied to ACME Solar’s expansion in the clean energy space. He has played a central role in driving strategic initiatives that have supported the company’s growth in utility-scale renewable projects, navigating complex bidding environments and evolving regulatory frameworks. His track record reflects a strong balance of commercial judgement and execution discipline, both of which are essential as ACME Solar continues to scale its operations.

The leadership elevation comes at a time when ACME Solar is pursuing ambitious long-term goals, including a target of achieving 10 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030. Meeting this objective will require not only access to capital and technology, but also strong commercial leadership to secure projects, manage partnerships, and ensure consistent delivery across a diverse portfolio. Sanklecha’s appointment is expected to support these priorities by strengthening coordination between business development, project teams, and external stakeholders.

By elevating a leader with deep institutional knowledge, ACME Solar is also signalling continuity and stability within its senior management structure. The move underscores the company’s focus on nurturing leadership from within while aligning commercial decision-making with its broader sustainability and growth objectives.

Overall, the appointment positions ACME Solar to better integrate its commercial strategy with long-term renewable energy ambitions. As the company scales up its project pipeline and execution capabilities, the strengthened leadership structure is expected to play a key role in maintaining momentum, improving execution efficiency, and reinforcing ACME Solar’s standing in India’s rapidly evolving clean energy landscape.
