MTDCNC’s Clinton Perry and Cristina Sesma of Productive Machines discuss SenseNC, a CAM plug-in that analyses NC code and machine behaviour and helps eliminate chatter and optimise toolpaths directly inside systems like Siemens NX and Mastercam. Using tap testing, the software builds a “fingerprint” of the machine and tool setup to identify stable cutting zones before machining begins.

The result is reduced vibration, improved surface finish, and more predictable machining without leaving the CAM environment.
