GMH Gruppe’s Open-Die Forging Group is set to showcase its expanded portfolio of integrated tool steel solutions for high-pressure die casting applications at Die Casting China 2026 in Shanghai. The exhibition marks the first joint appearance of Schmiedewerke Gröditz, Kind & Co., and Buderus Edelstahl, bringing together their complementary expertise to deliver a fully integrated value chain for the global die casting industry.

As structural casting, lightweight manufacturing, and giga-casting technologies continue to reshape automotive and industrial production, manufacturers are demanding tooling solutions that offer longer service life, greater process stability, improved productivity, and consistent material performance. The company also offers advanced vacuum heat treatment capabilities for large dies and moulds, helping customers maximise tool performance, reliability, and operational lifespan.

Buderus Edelstahl complements the integrated offering with advanced machining expertise and production-ready tooling solutions. By combining precision machining with deep metallurgical knowledge and application-specific engineering support, the company enables manufacturers to simplify production processes, improve dimensional accuracy, and optimise overall tooling performance.

Together, the three companies offer a comprehensive range of industry-standard 5 percent chromium molybdenum vanadium tool steels, including internationally recognised grades such as 1.2343 (H11) and 1.2344 (H13), available in both conventional air-melted and premium ESR-remelted variants. In addition, the portfolio includes enhanced-performance tool steels specifically developed to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of modern high-pressure die casting and giga-casting applications.
