Enerpac Launches Lightweight Electric Hydraulic Torque Wrench Pump for Industrial Maintenance!

Enerpac, a global leader in high-pressure hydraulic tools, controlled force products, and heavy lifting solutions, has introduced the LU-Series Lightweight Electric Hydraulic Torque Wrench Pump, a compact and portable solution designed to improve safety, productivity, and ease of operation for intermittent bolting applications. Developed specifically for maintenance, repair, and field-service operations, the new pump offers a lightweight alternative to conventional continuous-duty hydraulic pumps while delivering the performance required for critical bolting tasks.

The LU-Series has been engineered to address the growing demand for portable hydraulic equipment that can be deployed quickly in remote, confined, and challenging industrial environments. As maintenance activities increasingly take place across renewable energy installations, oil and gas facilities, mining operations, and infrastructure projects, technicians require equipment that is easier to transport without compromising performance or reliability.

Weighing just 15 kg when empty, the LU-Series is among the lightest electric hydraulic torque wrench pumps available in its category. Its compact footprint, balanced lifting points, and ergonomic design allow operators to carry, position, and operate the equipment with significantly less physical effort than traditional hydraulic pumps, which often weigh between 30 and 40 kg. The lightweight construction enables faster deployment, reduces operator fatigue, and improves overall maintenance efficiency, particularly in locations where accessibility is limited.

Designed exclusively for hydraulic torque wrench applications, the LU-Series delivers hydraulic pressures of up to 700 bar and is fully compatible with Enerpac’s range of hydraulic torque wrenches. The pump provides reliable and precise hydraulic power for a wide variety of controlled bolting operations, making it suitable for maintenance work in industries where bolt integrity and accurate torque application are essential for operational safety and equipment reliability.

To ensure dependable performance in demanding industrial environments, Enerpac has equipped the LU-Series with several durability and safety features. The pump incorporates a rugged roll-cage frame that protects critical components during transportation and field use, reinforced front-end protection for enhanced impact resistance, and an integrated over-temperature monitoring system that safeguards the equipment during extended operation. The pump has been tested for more than 50,000 operating cycles and is designed to perform reliably in temperatures ranging from -34°C to 50°C, making it suitable for both extreme cold and high-temperature industrial environments.

The product is available globally through Enerpac’s distributor network and is supported in India through local service capabilities, technical support, and operator training programmes conducted by the Enerpac Academy in Bengaluru.
