MACH Machine Tools has launched the MDSL series — a new range of 8” chuck, DynaPath-controlled CNC slant bed lathes designed to deliver exceptional cutting performance, high precision and machining flexibility.
The range includes two models: the 2-axis MDSL-202 and the multi-tasking 3-axis MDSL-203M, the latter fitted with C-axis and driven tooling at 4,000rpm. Both feature a rigid construction, infinitely variable spindles (3,500rpm), bi-directional 12-station turrets for quick tool changes, and MT4 tailstocks with 370mm travel. Maximum turning length is 500mm, with a 160mm turning diameter, 575mm between centres, and 30m/min rapids on both X and Z axes.
The DynaPath control system offers conversational and ISO/G-code programming, 64GB of on-board storage, 10,000-block look-ahead capability, tool path and 3D simulation, DXF editing, and full Wi-Fi connectivity. Standard features include linear guideways, hard and soft jaws, boring tool holders, turning tool holders, and high-pressure coolant and automatic lubrication systems.
Both models include MACH’s free, lifetime ‘Remote Assist’ service — 24/7 Wi-Fi-enabled expert support with a guaranteed 20-minute response time and free software updates throughout the machine’s lifespan.
Dave Andrew, Managing Director of the Vigilance Group, said: “Remote Assist provides customers with service and support that cannot be beaten — keeping machine downtime to an absolute minimum.”
