WFL Millturn Technologies are very well know for their large and sophisticated millturn machines, but with the arrival of their new M20-G they have opened up a whole new market. As Steve Malone from Kyle Machine Tools, WFL’s sole agent in the UK, tells Colin from MTDCNC, the M20-G has a much smaller footprint than their usual range but is built to the same exacting standards and with the same capabilities and functionality of any other WFL machine. With the arrival of this new machine WFL have opened up a whole new market sector with pretty much any type of machine shop now being a potential customer. The small footprint M20-G comes with a 40 – 80 tool magazine and has a powerful Siemens control to allow WFL to run their iControl process monitoring software that helps prevent collisions, monitor tool life and make sure you get better more accurate parts. The M20-G has three main parts, the TBM (turning, boring & milling unit), the main spindle and the counter spindle; the counter spindle having the performance as the main spindle. This gives you full 5 Axis functionality all protected by WFL’s iControl software. With up to 20K rpm available on the TBM’s spindle the new M20G is not just a machine for cutting hard difficult materials but even aluminium & plastics, and if you you want lights out running it can even be part of an automated cell. The new WFL M20-G, call Kyle Machine Tools today and transform your machine shop.
