TaeguTec expanded its TANG-SFEED milling insert range with new corner radius options for LPKU inserts, including sizes for LPK(H)U 05, 09, and 14, enhancing versatility while maintaining smooth cutting.
The TANG-SFEED system uses tangential insert clamping for rigidity and stability in milling. Its edge design ensures smooth cutting and consistent chip formation, while the strong insert withstands tough conditions. This enables reliable performance in both standard and high-feed milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
The expanded selection offers end users more flexibility to optimise machining parameters for specific needs. The LPK(H)U 05 now includes a 0.8mm corner radius, alongside square end, 0.2 and 0.4mm radii. The LPK(H)U 09 adds a 1.2mm radius to the existing square end, 0.4 and 1.6mm options. The LPKU 14 platform introduces 0.8, 1.6, and 2.4mm radii for larger diameter cutter applications.
Insert availability spans multiple TaeguTec coating grades, addressing diverse material groups. The TANG-SFEED is available in TaeguTec’s TT9080, TT9030, TT8080, TT8020, TT8525B, TT7080, TT7515, TT6080 and TT5525 grades. The comprehensive grade selection enables manufacturers to match insert specification precisely to workpiece material characteristics and machining parameters.
