Ace Designers Expands Manufacturing Capacity with New Ahmedabad Facility!

Ace Designers Limited has inaugurated a new assembly facility at Panchratna Industrial Park in Ahmedabad as part of its long-term expansion strategy aimed at increasing production capacity, strengthening localisation, and expanding its global manufacturing footprint. The company plans to significantly scale output over the next five years, targeting annual production of 3,000 turning machines and 1,000 machining centres.

The new facility represents a major investment in expanding the company’s operational capabilities to meet growing demand across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and general engineering. Designed around advanced manufacturing processes and digital technologies, the plant will support the production of high-precision CNC machine tools aligned with evolving industrial requirements.

Operations at the Ahmedabad facility will initially begin with a workforce of approximately 100 employees, with plans to increase staffing to around 350 personnel as production ramps up. The company stated that a key focus of the facility will be localisation, achieved through regional vendor development and the deployment of a skilled workforce to strengthen the surrounding manufacturing ecosystem.

According to company leadership, the decision to establish operations in Gujarat was driven by the region’s strong industrial base and proximity to key customer hubs. The location is expected to improve response times, enhance after-sales support, and enable closer collaboration with customers across western India and other major manufacturing clusters.

The facility also reflects Ace Designers’ broader strategy of combining domestic manufacturing growth with international expansion. By increasing local production capacity and strengthening supply chain integration, the company aims to improve competitiveness while supporting India’s growing role in global manufacturing.

Founded in 1979 by engineers from the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Ace Designers initially began as a design consulting company before evolving into one of India’s leading CNC machine tool manufacturing groups. Through the amalgamation of Ace Designers, Ace Manufacturing Systems, and Micromatic Machine Tools, the company has built a strong presence in the CNC turning and machining centre segment.

The company currently maintains an installed manufacturing capacity of 8,000 turning centres and 3,400 machining centres annually. With expected turnover projected to exceed INR 2,800 crore in FY 2025–26, Ace Designers continues to strengthen its position both domestically and internationally.

Beyond India, the company has established a global presence across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, serving customers in a broad range of industrial sectors. The Ahmedabad expansion is expected to support further international growth while reinforcing the company’s domestic production capabilities.
