SureWerx, a leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety products, professional tools, and industrial equipment, has announced the appointment of Shawn Gregg as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective June 15, 2026. The strategic leadership appointment reflects the company’s commitment to accelerating growth, strengthening operational performance, and enhancing execution across its expanding global business portfolio.
In his new role, Gregg will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Scott Dowell and will oversee commercial execution, operational performance, and brand management across SureWerx’s diverse portfolio of products and businesses. His appointment comes at a time when the company continues to expand its presence in industrial safety, workplace protection, and professional tool markets across North America and international regions.
Gregg brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning the industrial safety, healthcare, and distribution sectors. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and developing customer-focused strategies that deliver sustainable results.
Prior to joining SureWerx, Gregg served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Safety at Wesco International, one of the world’s leading providers of business-to-business distribution, logistics, and supply chain solutions. In that position, he led the company’s safety business across North America, overseeing key functions including sales, marketing, category management, customer operations, and supply chain activities. His leadership helped strengthen market performance while supporting customers across a broad range of industrial sectors.
Before his tenure at Wesco, Gregg spent several years with 3M, where he held a variety of senior leadership positions. As Vice President of Safety and Fire Protection, he managed a significant portfolio of workplace safety products and played an important role in integrating acquisitions and expanding business operations throughout North America. His experience also extends internationally, having spent five years in Singapore leading 3M’s industrial supplies business across the Asia-Pacific region. This global exposure provided valuable insight into diverse markets, customer requirements, and regional growth strategies.
Announcing the appointment, SureWerx CEO Scott Dowell emphasized Gregg’s proven ability to translate strategic vision into measurable business performance. Dowell noted that Gregg combines deep commercial expertise with strong operational discipline and extensive international experience, making him ideally suited to support the company’s next phase of growth.
According to Dowell, SureWerx is focused on scaling its operations, strengthening relationships with distribution partners, and improving execution across its portfolio of trusted brands. He believes Gregg’s leadership will help the company capitalize on new market opportunities while maintaining a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
Gregg expressed enthusiasm about joining the organization at a pivotal stage in its development. He highlighted the strength of SureWerx’s brands, market position, and channel partnerships as key factors that attracted him to the role. He stated that his primary focus will be on building upon the company’s strong foundation, improving speed and consistency across operations, and ensuring customers and partners continue to receive exceptional support.
Beyond his executive experience, Gregg possesses a strong educational background that complements his leadership capabilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Bemidji State University and earned a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition, he remains actively involved in the industry through his service on the boards of the Industrial Supply Association and Aatmunn Technologies.
As SureWerx continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its position within the industrial safety and professional tools sectors, the appointment of Shawn Gregg signals the company’s determination to invest in experienced leadership capable of driving long-term growth, operational excellence, and continued value for customers, partners, and stakeholders worldwide.
