MAQ Centre Showcase Aerospace Solutions and Additive Technology at BIEMH
By Paul Jones
MAQ Centre had plenty to show visitors at this year’s BIEMH exhibition in Bilbao, with a stand that combined advanced machining solutions with some fascinating developments in additive manufacturing.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time MTDCNC had spoken with Pedro from MAQ Centre at the show. Two years ago at BIEMH, Paul Jones interviewed Pedro in front of the impressive OKUMA MULTUS machine. Returning to the stand this year, the conversation took place in almost the same spot — but this time the discussion focused on a completely new set of applications and technologies.
The MAQ Centre stand featured a wide range of machining solutions aimed at supporting manufacturers operating in demanding sectors. One of the key themes this year was aerospace, with technologies and applications designed to support the complex requirements of this highly specialised industry.
During our visit, Pedro also took the MTDCNC team on a full tour of the stand, highlighting not only the machining technologies on display but also some particularly interesting innovations on the 3D printing side. Additive manufacturing continues to grow in importance across industries such as aerospace, where complex geometries, lightweight components and material efficiency are key priorities.
The combination of machining expertise and additive technology made the MAQ Centre stand one of the more interesting stops for visitors looking to explore new production capabilities.
