FANUC has launched the LR Mate 10-11A Food/Clean robot, combining a 10kg payload with ISO 4 Class cleanroom compliance for demanding applications in medical device manufacture, pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, electronics and food production sectors.
The compact robot uses food-grade lubricant to meet strict food safety requirements, minimising contamination risk. IP67 ingress protection across the entire body, upper arm and wrist enables harsh and frequent washdown procedures, whilst a stainless steel flange, anti-rust bolts and corrosion-resistant white epoxy coating ensure durability.
Optimised for high-speed operation, the robot delivers speeds of up to 340°/s in the J3 axis and 800°/s in the J6 axis for wrist rotation capabilities.
Paul Ribus, FANUC’s Head of Sales Coordination Europe, explains: “The LR Mate 10-11A Food/Clean bridges the gap between our 7kg payload version and larger models starting at 25kg payload. It’s a powerful performer with a small footprint, perfect for expensive floor space facilities such as cleanrooms.”
The robot features universal mounting capability, whilst the integrated electrical harness minimises interference, supporting easier cleaning and maintenance.
