Oshkosh Defense secures a $201 million contract for tactical vehicles

Oshkosh Defence announced a new order from the United States Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). The ACC-DTA ordered an extra Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles A2 (FMTV A2) for $201 million. Oshkosh Defence has received orders for over 2,000 FMTV A2s and 982 FMTV trailers totaling $858 million.”The FMTV A2’s versatility and mobility are a direct result of Oshkosh’s partnership with the US Army to provide the advanced technologies and expertise required to meet the battlefield’s ever-changing demands,” said Pat Williams, chief programmes officer for Oshkosh Defence.

Oshkosh Defence uses engineering innovation and industry insight to create technologies that adapt to changing market demands and expertly tailor solutions that exceed mission objectives. With 16 models and trailers designed to carry personnel and supplies, retrieve vehicles and weapon systems, and haul equipment to anywhere the operation required, the FMTV A2 displays platform adaptability.
