Tigercat: Steel, scale and serious ambition

“Your imagination is your only limit… We could make anything out of steel.”

What began as McDonald Steel in the 1950s evolved into Tigercat, a global forestry equipment manufacturer with thirteen facilities across Ontario and over two thousand employees.

Speaking with MTDCNC’s Arthur Field, Joe Barroso of Tigercat explains how building their first three prototypes in 1991 sparked a wave of innovation that never slowed down, expanding product lines, opening new facilities, and shipping worldwide.
