Olympic Steel Acquires MetalWorks to Expand Product Offerings!

Olympic Steel Inc., a leading Cleveland-based metals service center, has announced its acquisition of MetalWorks, a manufacturer specializing in components for service station canopies, deck clips, long gutters, trim, boat docks, and solar canopy and ground racking components, primarily made from coated carbon steel and aluminum.

MetalWorks, located in Oakwood, Georgia, operates from two facilities, totaling 48,720 square feet of processing space on 8.43 acres. The company is equipped with advanced roll forming and folding machinery to handle a range of manufacturing needs.

Following the acquisition, MetalWorks will continue to operate under its existing name, with President Ben Houston and his management team at the helm. The business will now be part of Olympic Steel’s carbon flat-rolled business segment.

This acquisition is in line with Olympic Steel’s strategy to expand its portfolio of manufactured metal products and enhance its product offerings. Richard T. Marabito, CEO of Olympic Steel, expressed excitement about welcoming MetalWorks, noting their strong reputation for customer service and the shared values between both companies.

The addition of MetalWorks will provide Olympic Steel with advanced manufacturing capabilities, further strengthening its competitive position in the market. Andrew S. Greiff, President and COO of Olympic Steel, emphasized that MetalWorks’ processing expertise and state-of-the-art equipment will complement Olympic Steel’s growing product portfolio.
