Richard Clark Appointed Managing Director to Lead Ficep UK’s Next Growth Phase

Ficep UK has announced the promotion of Richard Clark to Managing Director, as the company continues to strengthen its position as the UK’s leading supplier of steel fabrication machinery. Richard’s appointment ensures Ficep UK has dedicated local leadership, ready to respond swiftly to new opportunities and the evolving demands of the market.

Previously serving as Operations Director, Richard brings nearly 40 years of engineering experience to his new role. His career began in 1987 with a mechanical and electrical apprenticeship at Guest & Chrimes in Rotherham. Over the years, Richard held several technical positions including foundry engineer, shift engineer, and service engineer before stepping into management as Engineering Manager at Domino Printing Sciences in 2001. Through a series of internal promotions, he became Operations Manager at one of the company’s subsidiaries.

Richard’s journey with Ficep UK began in 2015, when he joined as Service Manager after an introduction to the company’s former Managing Director, Mark Jones. His leadership in after-sales service has been pivotal to Ficep UK’s success, helping it become one of the company’s strongest competitive advantages in the UK market. Since his arrival, the after-sales revenue has tripled, reflecting the company’s enhanced focus on customer support and service excellence.

Having started as an apprentice, I’m passionate about giving others the same opportunity to learn and progress in this industry. Building strong customer relationships has always been a part of who I am, and I’m pleased I’ll continue to meet customers in my new role as Managing Director.”

Richard will work closely with Financial Director Pam and Sales Director Chris Berriman as Ficep UK continues to innovate and adapt to market demands.
