MTDCNC is in Bangalore, India, to learn more about Komatech’s Korean machines at Phillips Machine Tools. Tony Gunn interviews Randhir Kapoor from TECH, a Division of Phillips Machine Tools Bangalore, to explore the history and benefits behind the drill tap machine that’s taken off like wildfire! The KT420 L is a standalone single pallet machine with a 21-tool ATC that offers a tool change time of 1.04 seconds. It’s a machine that targets the aluminium, automotive, and soft industries for reduced cycle times. Japanese and European components offer high quality and reliability with greater OEE. It can use FANUC, SIEMENS, and Mitsubishi controls, and offers multiple options for spindle RPM, tool changer, and pallet changer systems.
