Less than 8 micron accuracy and perfect surface finish with Takumi!

Lyndsey and Gio recently visited Paddock Gear & Engineering Limited to review a NEW Takumi U600 full 5th axis simultaneous machining centre from Leader CNC Technologies.
They are using the machine to manufacture special helical gears, the gears were previously manufactured on a dedicated gear cutting machine but since they have transferred the work to the Takumi, not only have they reduced operations and cycle time but also improved the quality of the components with better surface finish whilst also maintaining the very tight tolerances required on a hard to cut material.
