The Agie Charmilles CUT P 350 Pro available from GF Machining Solutions is a state of the art wire EDM machine. As Mark Lasseter explains to MTDCNC’s Paul Jones these clever machines have Intelligent Spark Protection System (ISPS) to prevent wire breakages by speeding up or slowing down the speed of the wire depending on the thickness of the material it’s cutting saving 20-39% of wire consumption. This machine also has Integrated Collision Protection (ICP) to prevent damage. The new digital generator is now incorporated into the machine and not a stand alone unit as in the past.
