What is there in Fastems’ new MMS Version 8 – Part 2

Version 8 is the newest release of Fastems’ Manufacturing Management Software (MMS). With various upgrades supporting user interface, user experience and proactive production planning, MMS version 8 guarantees to boost CNC automation intelligence to the next level.

Version 8 is available for new and as an upgrade to existing Fastems automation systems starting from the spring of 2022.

This article is the last one in this MMS8 series, presenting the next notable upgrades of the MMS 8: Fixture Management. (Read the previous articles about the MMS8’s new Insights View and MM8’s Easy Route and Order Generator ).

For manufacturers producing high mix and therefore needing a lot of fixtures, Fastems has built a new optional Fixture Resource Management module. It allows using the modular fixtures that enable higher production mix with fewer pallets. Using modular fixtures can generate cost savings on fixture investment, space savings on pallet storage, and time savings with less fixture building work. In addition, MMS8 will provide more information about fixture utilization, while not forcing any decision-making of fixture changes on the end-users. Therefore, users can make practical use of these recommendations from MMS version 8.
