Geoffrey Harbord of DMG MORI shares the details on his favourite machining platform, a solid machine that offers easy tool life management setup for running lights out. Designed to predict the life of tools, the NHX keeps track of how long a tool has been cutting for and with a warning time set up, it sends off an alarm when the tool is reaching its limit. In addition to counting tool life and load monitoring, the NHX also offers two ways for tool breakage detection.
