TDT Technology has now launched the latest addition to its machine tool line-up, the new Feeler U600P 5-axis machining centre. This versatile new addition is both flexible and robust, making it ideal for all your 5-axis machining requirements.
Simon Hewson, Managing Director at TDT Technology Ltd says: “This is a new machine with an extended Y-axis. The U600 has been extremely successful in the market for the last 2 to 3 years and the new U600P is the very latest version. This machine has an LCM rotary table that is fully supported. It also has a 10,000rpm spindle with a 24,000rpm option. The machine also offers full linear scales on all axes and a Heidenhain i-TNC640 CNC control unit.”
Renowned for building heavy duty and robust machine tools, this latest addition to the Feeler brand continues this established reputation with its 8,600kg overall weight that has its foundations built upon an extremely stable and rigid base. The work envelope offers an X, Y and Z travel of 460mm by 620mm by 400mm with an A-axis rotation of +110 to -90 degrees and a full 360degree rotation of the C-axis. With 150 to 550mm distance from spindle nose to table surface, the work envelope is larger than many machine tools in its class.
The 40 taper spindle is driven by a 7.5/11kW spindle motor that generates high levels of torque for rapid material removal. Combining these features with 30m/min rapids in the X, Y and Z axis gives the new U600P impressive material removal characteristics.
