Star Micronics has unveiled the SP-32, a significant upgrade in their line of machining solutions. Built upon the success of the SP-23, the SP-32 introduces cutting-edge features tailored for manufacturers aiming to enhance productivity and tackle complex mill-turn applications.
The SP-32 distinguishes itself with an increased bar capacity of 32mm as standard, with an optional specification of 35mm. This expansion of capacity allows manufacturers to explore a wider array of machining tasks, optimising their operations for a varied range of applications.
Key features of the SP-32 include the ability to process materials up to 32mm in diameter, with the flexibility of a switchable guide bush and non-guide bush capability. This flexibility enhances the machine’s adaptability in various operational scenarios.
The SP-32 is equipped with the latest FANUC 0i-TF Plus control, offering enhanced functionality for improved machining precision. Additionally, Step Cycle Pro chip-breaking technology and thermal displacement correction technology are integrated, ensuring high accuracy and reduced downtime.
In response to increasing demands for efficiency, the SP-32 includes built-in sensors on the main and sub-spindles, significantly improving indexing accuracy. The machine also features an ECO Mode standby function, designed to reduce power consumption without compromising performance.
