    Harrison Silverdale has bolstered its manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of a new Star SR-32JIII Type B sliding head lathe. This investment marks a significant milestone for the company following the completion of its purpose-built production facility in Dronfield.

    The SR-32JIII Type B model is recognised for its exceptional ability to produce complex parts, making it ideally suited to Harrison Silverdale’s range of specialised fasteners and machined components. The machine’s bar capacity meets the company’s exacting specifications, enabling them to enhance their manufacturing output.

    From the outset, Harrison Silverdale received exceptional support from Star Micronics GB. The assistance encompassed machine specification, attachment advice, delivery, and training, ensuring a seamless implementation process. The updated Star NC Assist software has proven particularly advantageous by simplifying programming requirements and eliminating the need for costly CAM software.

    Looking to the future, Harrison Silverdale plans to utilise the enhanced capabilities of the SR-32JIII Type B to expand its production capacity.
