FMB has announced the launch of its latest generation of bar feeders incorporating the cutting-edge RS Technology. These advanced devices connect directly to the lathe spindle through a movable guide module, removing the need for the unsupported telescopic section that was previously essential. This innovation enhances stability and precision in machining processes.
The introduction of RS Technology promises optimal support for both long and short bar stock lengths, effectively minimising the risk of vibration or deflection. This stability is crucial for maintaining machining quality and tool longevity. Additionally, the RS Technology enables seamless conversion between guide bush and non-guide bush modes with no need for a switching device. This feature significantly reduces setup time, thus enhancing productivity on the shop floor.
Central to the design is a rigid extruded aluminium base which excels in vibration damping. This structural enhancement leads to improved machining quality and extends the life of the tools used in conjunction with the FMB bar feeders. The simplified design also boasts fewer components, which translates into greater reliability, easier maintenance, and improved long-term performance.
FMB’s latest offerings demonstrate the company’s commitment to advancing machining technologies. The company continues to deliver highly innovative solutions aimed at optimising the efficiency and precision of manufacturing processes.
