
The recent ribbon-cutting ceremony in Krefeld, Germany marked the official opening of the new Okuma Europe GmbH Solution Centre. The event featured Dr Ieki and Mr Max Pieter, who were responsible for cutting the ribbon and ushering in a new chapter for Okuma in Europe.
The ceremony was further enhanced by a traditional sake barrel opening conducted by Mr Yamamoto, signifying a blend of heritage and a future-focused outlook. This new facility highlights Okuma’s commitment to innovation and advancement in the manufacturing sector.
The day’s events provided invited guests with firsthand experiences of the Okuma Smart Factory environment. Attendees were treated to live machining demonstrations and were able to explore integrated automation solutions, all designed to bolster efficiency, precision, and flexibility in production operations.
Starting tomorrow, the Open House will be available to registered visitors. Representatives from NCMT Ltd will be present throughout, offering insights into the technology and discussing possible ways these solutions can support various manufacturing objectives.
