ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions Opens Quality Excellence Center in Connecticut to Support Advanced Manufacturing!
ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions has inaugurated a new Quality Excellence Center in Bloomfield, Connecticut, marking an important step in expanding its support for manufacturers across the northeastern United States. The new facility is part of ZEISS’s broader strategy to strengthen local manufacturing ecosystems by providing direct access to advanced metrology technologies, application expertise, and hands-on training in close proximity to customers.
The Bloomfield center is designed to serve as a regional hub where manufacturers can explore precision measurement and inspection solutions tailored to real-world production challenges. According to ZEISS, the facility brings together state-of-the-art equipment, software, and experienced specialists to help companies improve quality, efficiency, and competitiveness in an increasingly demanding manufacturing environment. Hendrie Viktor, Vice President and Head of Sales at ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions North America, said the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to equipping manufacturers with the tools and expertise required to succeed amid tighter tolerances, shorter lead times, and growing complexity.
Spanning approximately 12,000 square feet, the Quality Excellence Center includes more than 6,000 square feet dedicated to advanced metrology technologies and software. The open, interactive layout is intended to encourage hands-on engagement, allowing visitors to see measurement solutions in action rather than in a purely theoretical setting. Manufacturers can conduct demonstrations, proof-of-capability studies, and application evaluations to validate inspection strategies before deploying them on the shop floor.
The center showcases a broad portfolio of ZEISS technologies, including automated and multisensor coordinate measuring machines, industrial microscopes, optical and structured-light 3D scanners, multisensor vision measuring machines, and surface and special geometry measurement systems. These solutions are supported by intelligent software platforms designed to integrate measurement data into digital manufacturing workflows. The offerings address the needs of industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical devices, machining, metalforming, and power and energy.
Beyond equipment demonstrations, the Bloomfield facility places strong emphasis on skills development and workforce enablement. ZEISS will offer expert-led training sessions, workshops, and software courses aimed at helping manufacturers close skills gaps and address ongoing shortages of qualified metrology and quality professionals. These programs are structured to support education, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives, enabling both new and experienced personnel to work confidently with advanced inspection technologies.
The Quality Excellence Center also provides access to application engineering services and consultation. Manufacturers can engage directly with ZEISS experts to optimize measurement strategies, improve inspection reliability, and resolve complex quality challenges. This localized support model is intended to shorten response times and strengthen collaboration between ZEISS and its customers throughout the region.
ZEISS is now accepting appointments for facility visits, demonstrations, training sessions, and technical consultations at the Bloomfield center. By establishing a dedicated Quality Excellence Center in Connecticut, ZEISS aims to reinforce its role as a long-term partner to manufacturers, helping them enhance precision, improve productivity, and build more resilient, data-driven quality processes in an evolving industrial landscape.
