ZEISS Expands U.S. Footprint with New Quality Excellence Center in North Carolina!
ZEISS has strengthened its commitment to advancing manufacturing quality and innovation with the launch of a new Quality Excellence Center in Huntersville, North Carolina. The facility will officially open on April 16, 2026, with a grand event designed to bring together manufacturing professionals from across the southeastern United States.
Developed as a hub for collaboration, learning, and applied innovation, the new center is positioned to support manufacturers in enhancing quality, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating digital transformation. The one-day launch event will offer attendees a comprehensive experience, including live technology demonstrations, facility tours, and networking opportunities with industry peers and experts.
The event will also feature keynote sessions and expert discussions, with contributions from organizations such as Ursa Major Technologies, GE Appliances, and Aptyx. In addition, focused breakout sessions will cover key sectors including aerospace, automotive, electronics, and medical manufacturing, providing practical insights that attendees can apply directly within their operations.
The Huntersville center is designed to serve as a premier resource for the regional manufacturing ecosystem. It enables companies to explore advanced measurement and inspection technologies while gaining hands-on experience and technical support. The facility offers direct access to ZEISS experts who collaborate closely with manufacturers to address quality challenges and implement precision-driven solutions.
According to Hendrie Viktor, President of ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions USA, the new center represents a major milestone in expanding the company’s regional presence. He emphasised that in an increasingly complex manufacturing environment, access to accurate measurement data and advanced metrology solutions is critical for making informed decisions and driving sustainable growth.
Spanning approximately 35,000 square feet, the Huntersville facility is now one of the largest ZEISS Quality Excellence Centers in North America. It includes 10,000 square feet dedicated to advanced metrology technologies and software, along with fully equipped training rooms and service areas. Manufacturers visiting the center can access a wide range of ZEISS solutions, including coordinate measuring machines, vision measurement systems, 3D scanning technologies, industrial CT and X-ray systems, microscopes, and intelligent software platforms.
Beyond technology access, the center is designed to help manufacturers improve product quality, reduce production risks, and build a more skilled and adaptive workforce. It also supports greater collaboration and knowledge sharing across the regional manufacturing community, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
As part of ZEISS’s global network of Quality Excellence Centers, the Huntersville facility will provide metrology services, calibration, technical consultation, and training. This expansion highlights ZEISS’s ongoing commitment to helping manufacturers elevate quality standards, optimise processes, and remain competitive in an increasingly demanding global market.
