Zaytran Launches Xray-S-5800 Double-Rail Gripper for High-Load, High-Speed Automation!

Zaytran Inc. has introduced the Xray-S-5800 robotic gripper, engineered to support large-part automation with high accelerations, heavy moment loads and faster transfer velocities. The new double-rail design is intended to increase throughput in demanding robotic applications where stability and reliability are critical.

As robotic systems handle increasingly larger and heavier components, end-of-arm tooling must withstand significant dynamic forces. The Xray-S-5800 addresses these requirements with a gripping force of 1,300 pounds per jaw, ensuring secure part retention during rapid movement and multi-axis positioning.

A newly developed CDA bronze-based synchronizing system enhances the durability of the gripper’s precision mechanism. This material choice is designed to extend service life, reduce wear and maintain consistent performance under high-load conditions, contributing to lower maintenance needs and improved uptime.

The gripper’s dual machine-tool bearing rails provide structural reinforcement, enabling it to sustain side and moment loads generated during multi-G acceleration and deceleration cycles. This design increases rigidity and minimizes deflection, helping maintain alignment and positioning accuracy when transferring large components between workstations.
