Yaskawa America, Inc., a leader in industrial automation, has appointed Doug Burnside as the new Vice President of its Drives Group, part of the Drives and Motion Division. Burnside steps into this role after Mark Bernicky, the long-time vice president, transitioned to a new position focusing on customer relationship enhancement.
Burnside brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Yaskawa America’s Motoman Robotics Division. In this capacity, he was instrumental in driving growth and expanding market share. He also held the position of Vice President of Customer Satisfaction, where he developed and implemented programs designed to improve customer care and long-term satisfaction.
The Drives & Motion Division of Yaskawa America is known for manufacturing a wide range of industrial automation products, including low- and medium-voltage variable-speed drives, servo motors, machine controllers, and low-voltage industrial switches. Burnside’s appointment aligns with Yaskawa’s ongoing focus on technological innovation and improving customer experiences in the industrial automation sector.
In his new role, Burnside will leverage his leadership experience to further enhance the performance and capabilities of the Drives Group. His strategic vision is expected to contribute significantly to the division’s growth, ensuring that Yaskawa continues to provide high-quality products and solutions for industries relying on precise and efficient automation technologies.
