Weiler Abrasives has launched its Tiger 3D Max Ceramic resin fiber discs, a new generation of grinding tools engineered to deliver superior performance with less effort. Designed for general metal fabrication and demanding applications like shipbuilding, pressure vessel production, and heavy equipment manufacturing, these discs combine innovation and durability to redefine grinding efficiency.

The Tiger 3D Max Ceramic discs utilize 3D precision-shaped grain technology, which allows operators to achieve faster material removal with significantly less applied force. This not only enhances productivity but also minimizes operator fatigue, ensuring smoother, more consistent results even during long grinding sessions. According to Weiler, the unique grain structure helps maintain cutting efficiency and extends disc life, making it a cost-effective choice for industrial users.

These high-performance discs are versatile and compatible with a wide range of materials, including steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, armored steel, tool steel, INCONEL alloy, and titanium. Whether used in fabrication shops or large-scale production environments, they deliver consistent results across multiple metal types, offering both reliability and performance.

Weiler offers the Tiger 3D Max Ceramic discs in two variants — with or without a topcoat. The top-coated version is particularly suited for stainless steel and other hard-to-grind metals, as it helps reduce heat buildup during grinding. By lowering the grinding temperature, the topcoat protects sensitive materials from discoloration, heat damage, and structural changes. Meanwhile, the uncoated version is ideal for carbon steel applications, providing strong performance without unnecessary added features for less demanding metals.

By integrating precision-shaped ceramic grain with advanced bonding technology, the Tiger 3D Max Ceramic line represents a leap forward in grinding innovation. It offers users a powerful combination of reduced effort, longer lifespan, and improved surface finish, aligning with Weiler Abrasives’ focus on enhancing both productivity and operator safety.

With these new discs, Weiler continues to strengthen its position as a leader in surface conditioning and finishing solutions, giving fabricators the tools they need to work faster, cleaner, and more efficiently in today’s competitive metalworking industry.
