Tooling expert Walter GB is now including customised indexable inserts as part of its Walter Xpress fast delivery service, complementing the success of the service for solid round tools and indexable insert toolholders and bodies. Bespoke indexable insert specials tools can be provided in just three weeks and special indexable inserts can be supplied in four weeks.
The first indexable inserts to be available via the service are the high-performance P6000 drilling inserts (orders from 10 to 200 pieces), which have diameters of 12 mm to 37.99 mm and are suitable for holes with IT8 or IT9 tolerances – in intermediate sizes or with a special shoulder design (eg land or radius).
Also available on quick delivery are the four-edged indexable inserts in the MX Cut system (orders from 10 to 50 pieces), which have a maximum cutting depth of 6 mm and cutting widths between 1 mm and 3.3 mm – in intermediate sizes with a full radius, straight edge or lands between 30 and 50°.
