Visitor registrations have officially opened for SEMICON India 2025, set to be held from September 2 to 4, 2025, at Yashobhoomi – India International Convention and Expo Centre, New Delhi. Organized by SEMI in partnership with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the event is themed “Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse”, signaling India’s growing strategic importance in the global microelectronics and semiconductor landscape.
Building on the strong momentum of its 2024 edition, SEMICON India 2025 aims to bring together key players from across the ecosystem—including industry leaders, policymakers, academia, and global investors—to foster collaboration and accelerate India’s semiconductor ambitions. The event is one of eight flagship international SEMICON expos hosted by SEMI worldwide and marks India’s strengthening role in the global semiconductor supply chain.
With participation expected from over 300 exhibitors across 18 countries, SEMICON India 2025 will present a comprehensive display of the electronics value chain—from semiconductor manufacturing equipment and raw materials to chip design, integrated systems, and advanced packaging solutions. Four international country pavilions and nine Indian State Government representations will further highlight regional and global partnership opportunities, showcasing India’s readiness for collaborative growth.
The three-day conference will feature thought leaders, senior executives, and technical experts sharing insights into emerging trends, technology roadmaps, and strategic directions shaping the semiconductor industry’s future. These sessions are designed to serve as critical platforms for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and industry networking.
Adding to its robust programming, SEMICON India 2025 will also include specialised pavilions such as the Workforce Development Pavilion and Startup Pavilion, focused on nurturing talent and fostering innovation. The event will host Country Roundtables, B2B forums, and structured training programs aimed at upskilling and capability building across the semiconductor value chain.
Ajit Manocha, President and CEO of SEMI, emphasized India’s growing appeal: “India presents a compelling opportunity as companies seek to diversify supply chains and tap into engineering talent in high-growth markets.”
S Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, called on broad participation: “We encourage leaders from industry, academia, and research to join SEMICON India 2025 and drive India’s semiconductor transformation.”
Ashok Chandak, President of SEMI India and IESA, noted: “India stands at a defining moment in its semiconductor journey. SEMICON India 2025 will harness global shifts to strengthen India’s position in the global value chain.”
As India continues to emerge as a pivotal player in semiconductor manufacturing, SEMICON India 2025 promises to be a landmark event—connecting global innovation with local ambition, and setting the stage for India’s next leap in high-tech manufacturing and self-reliance.
