
Veolia Celebrates 25 Years at Hoskote with New Experience Center and Sustainability Push!
Veolia has marked a significant milestone in its India journey by celebrating 25 years of operations at its Hoskote facility in Bengaluru. The occasion was highlighted by the inauguration of a new Customer Experience Center and the launch of a solar energy initiative, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and India’s growing role as a global hub for advanced water technologies.
The event was led by Anne Le Guennec, who подчеркed India’s strategic importance within Veolia’s global operations. She noted that the country has evolved into a key center for engineering excellence, digital innovation, and manufacturing capabilities. The Hoskote facility, she emphasized, stands as a testament to decades of expertise, a highly skilled workforce, and a forward-looking approach to solving critical water challenges.
Established in 2001, the Hoskote plant has developed into a globally recognized hub for membrane manufacturing, specialty chemicals, and water technology solutions. Today, the facility exports to more than 20 countries, demonstrating its global integration and competitiveness. Its integrated Technology Center has played a vital role in driving innovation, generating over 100 patents that support Veolia’s solutions across international markets. The site continues to benefit from a strong base of engineers and scientists working on advanced solutions for water management and environmental sustainability.
A key highlight of the celebration was the introduction of a solar power installation at the facility. This initiative is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 600 tonnes annually, aligning with Veolia’s broader sustainability roadmap. The move reflects the company’s commitment not only to reducing its own environmental footprint but also to enabling its customers to achieve measurable sustainability outcomes through efficient and responsible technologies.
The newly launched Customer Experience Center represents another important step in strengthening customer engagement and collaboration. Designed as an interactive platform, the center showcases Veolia’s smart water solutions, including digital monitoring systems, advanced data analytics, and cutting-edge treatment technologies. It also provides hands-on access to experts and training facilities capable of accommodating up to 50 participants, fostering knowledge sharing and innovation.
Over the years, Veolia has built a strong presence in India, delivering more than 500 projects across municipal and industrial sectors. Its portfolio spans drinking water systems, wastewater treatment, and zero liquid discharge solutions, supporting both urban infrastructure and industrial sustainability. Recent projects in cities like Mumbai further underline the company’s contribution to strengthening India’s water infrastructure.
As Veolia celebrates this 25-year milestone, its continued investment in innovation, sustainability, and local capabilities highlights a long-term commitment to addressing water security challenges while contributing to environmental progress in India and across the South Asia region.
