Tsugami America Appoints Derek Briggs as Director of Engineering!

Tsugami America, the exclusive North American distributor of Precision Tsugami machine tools, has announced the appointment of Derek Briggs as its new Director of Engineering. In his new role, Briggs will oversee the newly established Process Development Center at Tsugami America’s corporate headquarters in Windsor, Connecticut. The center is part of the company’s efforts to improve operational efficiencies, optimize customer support, and drive technological advancements. Briggs will also lead the application engineering department and the product management team, guiding them toward enhancing Tsugami’s existing product lineup and ensuring its solutions continue to meet the ever-evolving demands of the industry.

Prior to his tenure at Tsugami America, Briggs worked with Tsugami Swiss Machines at Bil-Mac Corporation in Michigan and F&F Machine Products in Indiana, where he was born and raised. This hands-on experience with Tsugami machines has provided him with a strong foundation in understanding both the technical intricacies and customer needs related to the company’s products.
