Global high-tech leader TRUMPF has been inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame, recognizing its century-long legacy of innovation, technology leadership, and contribution to advancing manufacturing in the United States and beyond. The honor was presented during the 2025 Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Forum — an event that brings together manufacturing leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the industry’s future.
Lutz Labisch, President and CEO of TRUMPF Inc., accepted the award on behalf of the company. Expressing gratitude, Labisch said, “TRUMPF is honored to be inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame and recognized for the innovative technology and services we have brought to North America for more than 56 years. We’re proud to be part of Connecticut’s long history and contributions to industrial manufacturing.”
Founded in 1923 in Germany, TRUMPF has evolved into a global powerhouse in machine tools, laser technology, and smart manufacturing systems. Its North American headquarters, established in Farmington, Connecticut, in 1969, has grown into a billion-dollar business supporting industries ranging from aerospace to medical device manufacturing. TRUMPF’s Farmington facility also houses a state-of-the-art Smart Factory — a fully connected and automated manufacturing environment that demonstrates the future of digital production.
The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame, established in 2014, honors companies that have demonstrated technological excellence, innovation, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of manufacturing talent. TRUMPF joins an elite group of manufacturers whose work continues to define and transform the industrial landscape.
The recognition underscores TRUMPF’s longstanding focus on automation, connectivity, and sustainability — principles that have guided the company’s mission to empower manufacturers with efficient, intelligent, and high-performance production systems. Through continuous investment in R&D and workforce development, TRUMPF has played a key role in shaping the digital transformation of U.S. manufacturing.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees highlight the ongoing importance of innovation, workforce empowerment, and community impact in driving the manufacturing sector forward. TRUMPF’s inclusion celebrates not only its historical achievements but also its continued leadership in advancing smart manufacturing technologies that are redefining how factories of the future operate.
