TCS launches Gemini Experience Center in Michigan to accelerate AI-driven manufacturing innovation!
Tata Consultancy Services has opened its seventh Gemini Experience Center at its Innovation Hub in Troy to help manufacturers adopt advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The center has been developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and focuses on building AI-powered solutions that improve industrial operations, safety and productivity.
The new facility will focus on Physical AI technologies that combine robotics, sensors, edge computing and cloud intelligence to enhance operational efficiency in manufacturing environments. These technologies enable factories to automate complex tasks, monitor equipment and improve safety standards through intelligent systems.
The Troy center is part of the global Gemini Experience Center network being developed by TCS and Google Cloud. The companies plan to operate 13 such centers worldwide by the end of 2026, with six additional locations scheduled to open during the year. These facilities are designed to help enterprises move beyond pilot AI experiments and deploy scalable transformation programs across operations.
At the Michigan center, manufacturers can explore real-world applications of AI-enabled automation through the TCS Physical AI Blueprint. This framework integrates quadruped and humanoid robots with advanced sensors, edge intelligence and secure cloud orchestration to create intelligent industrial systems.
Using this platform, companies can test applications such as autonomous facility monitoring, safety surveillance, environmental anomaly detection, personal protective equipment compliance monitoring and automated quality inspection. The center also supports predictive maintenance capabilities that analyze equipment health and operational performance in real time.
Anupam Singhal, President of Manufacturing at TCS, said Physical AI represents the next stage of intelligent industrial operations. By embedding intelligence directly into physical environments, manufacturers can gain real-time visibility and decision-making capabilities in areas that may be difficult or unsafe for human workers to access.
Saurabh Tiwary, Vice President and General Manager for Cloud AI at Google Cloud, said the collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced AI technologies where they can deliver the most operational value for industrial companies.
The new center joins existing Gemini Experience Centers in Bengaluru, New York City, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore and São Paulo. These facilities are part of the TCS Pace innovation ecosystem, which connects enterprises with startups, academic institutions and technology partners to accelerate digital transformation.
Through these innovation hubs, TCS aims to help manufacturers deploy AI, robotics and automation technologies that support smarter, safer and more efficient industrial operations.
