TCI Strengthens NCR Cold Chain Network with New 1.5 Lakh Sq Ft Facility in Gurugram!
Transport Corporation of India Ltd (TCI) has expanded its temperature-controlled logistics footprint in the National Capital Region with the commissioning of a 1.5 lakh square foot cold chain warehouse at Taj Nagar, Gurugram. The facility will be operated by TCI Cold Chain Solutions Ltd, a joint venture between TCI and Mitsui & Co, Japan.
The newly added warehouse is designed to cater to high-volume and compliance-driven sectors such as quick commerce, QSR, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, dairy, meat and poultry, life sciences, beauty, and specialty chemicals. Strategically located between the KMP Expressway and Dwarka Expressway, the site offers unrestricted 24×7 truck access, enabling faster and more efficient distribution across Delhi NCR and adjacent markets.
The facility supports frozen, chilled, and air-conditioned storage zones and operates on flexible commercial models including box-in/box-out and pallet-in/pallet-out, allowing customers to scale storage capacity based on fluctuating demand. With Taj Nagar emerging as a key logistics hub, the warehouse is positioned to support last-mile delivery and time-sensitive supply chains.
Sustainability and safety are central to the facility’s design, with features such as a 500 kW rooftop solar power system, energy-efficient refrigeration, SCADA-based monitoring, early smoke detection systems, and extensive CCTV surveillance. Commenting on the expansion, B Sumit Kumar, CEO of TCI Cold Chain Solutions Ltd, said the facility addresses the growing demand for reliable, scalable, and compliant cold chain infrastructure in the NCR region.
TCI continues to strengthen its logistics capabilities to support regulated and temperature-sensitive supply chains across India. Through its express arm, TCIEXPRESS, the group operates an extensive distribution network of over 970 branches, serving more than 60,000 locations and offering time-definite services across 750+ districts. The portfolio spans surface, air, rail, e-commerce, pharma cold chain, and C2C express services, catering to industries including pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, automotive, engineering, retail, and e-commerce.
