TASE Global Inaugurates ₹150 Crore Aerostructures Manufacturing Facility in Tamil Nadu!
TASE Global, operating under the Trusted Aerospace Engineering brand, has inaugurated a new aerostructures manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, marking a major expansion of its manufacturing footprint and a strategic entry into the global aerostructures market. The facility has been set up with an investment of ₹150 crore and represents a significant step in strengthening India’s capabilities in high-precision aerospace manufacturing.
The new unit was formally inaugurated on January 22 by Masahiko Mori, President of DMG MORI, signalling the start of a deeper technology collaboration between the two companies. Through this partnership, TASE Global will leverage advanced machining technologies, automation, and digital manufacturing systems to meet the stringent requirements of global aerospace customers. Until now, the company has focused primarily on export-oriented aero-engine components and precision medical engineering parts; the Sriperumbudur facility expands its scope to include complex aerostructure components.
According to Sankararaman Vaidyanathan, Chairman of TASE Global, the facility represents a landmark milestone in the company’s growth journey. He noted that moving into aerostructures opens access to a much larger global market while the collaboration with DMG MORI enables higher productivity, improved resource efficiency, and scalable manufacturing through automation and digitisation. The company views this expansion as a foundation for long-term global growth in aerospace manufacturing.
TASE Global highlighted that the global aerostructures market is estimated to be worth around USD 70 billion annually, driven by rising aircraft production and accelerating defence modernisation programmes worldwide. The company expects the new unit to generate incremental revenues of approximately ₹300 crore over the next three years, supported by strong customer demand and readiness to meet global quality and compliance standards.
The first phase of the Sriperumbudur facility covers about 40,000 square feet and is equipped with 30 high-precision machines supplied by DMG MORI. The setup is designed to handle long and complex components of up to six metres in length, including frames, spars, ribs, longerons, door assemblies, and floor beams—critical structural elements used in commercial and defence aircraft. The facility has been engineered to ensure high levels of accuracy, repeatability, traceability, and process reliability, all of which are essential for aerospace applications.
In addition to expanding manufacturing capability, the facility is expected to generate around 200 skilled jobs, contributing to local employment and reinforcing Tamil Nadu’s position as a growing hub for aerospace and precision engineering.
Looking ahead, TASE Global has outlined further investments aligned with high-growth sectors. The company plans to commission a 30,000 square foot surface treatment facility with a zero liquid discharge system by April 2026, involving an investment of ₹40 crore. It also intends to set up a 40,000 square foot semiconductor equipment subsystem manufacturing unit with cleanroom infrastructure by December 2026, with an investment of ₹60 crore.
With manufacturing operations across India, the United States, and Europe, TASE Global supplies high-precision components to customers in civil aerospace, defence, and advanced engineering segments. The inauguration of the Sriperumbudur aerostructures facility strengthens its position in global aerospace supply chains while supporting India’s broader manufacturing and localisation ambitions.
