Tamura to Build New Facility for Solder Powder Production in Japan!

Tamura Corporation has announced plans to build a new production facility at its Sayama site in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, which will focus on the production of solder powder. This expansion is part of the company’s efforts to enhance its Electronic Chemicals/FA Systems Business Sector, which includes solder pastes, reactors, and soldering equipment.

The new facility is part of a broader initiative to modernize and consolidate production capabilities. While Tamura’s Electronic Chemicals/FA Systems business activities are currently spread across the Iruma site, Sayama site, and Kodama factory in Saitama Prefecture, the company has decided to relocate production and testing equipment for solder powder to the Sayama site. This move will improve production efficiency and promote energy conservation, contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.

The planned capital expenditure for the new facility is 5 billion yen, with construction slated for completion by October 2025. This move is in line with Tamura’s 13th Medium-term Management Plan, “Energize the Future 100,” as the company prepares for its 100th anniversary in 2024. The relocation aims to strengthen Tamura’s Electronic Chemicals and FA Systems Business while aligning with the company’s commitment to environmental protection and decarbonization efforts, key elements of its sustainability strategy.
