SW North America Showcases Twin-Spindle CNC Machining Center at EASTEC 2025!

SW North America is set to showcase its BA 322i twin-spindle horizontal CNC machining center at EASTEC 2025, demonstrating its advanced automation and high-precision capabilities for industries like aerospace, medical devices, and automotive. This innovative machine is designed as a fully autonomous manufacturing cell, equipped with a Fanuc LRmate 200id 7L robot and onboard workpiece storage, allowing it to run continuously with minimal human intervention. The BA 322i provides manufacturers with the opportunity to boost productivity while reducing labor costs and saving valuable floor space.

At EASTEC, the live demonstration will feature the BA 322i machining Tibia Spacers, critical components used in total knee prosthetics. While ABS plastic will be used during the event, the machine is capable of processing advanced materials like PEEK, known for its biocompatibility and bone-like density. The machining process is fully automated, from loading raw stock into the storage elevator to performing both OP10 and OP20 processing, and finally returning the finished parts to storage. This lights-out capability allows for extended unmanned shifts, making it an ideal solution for businesses looking to improve operational efficiency.

The BA 322i is built to offer high precision, speed, and flexibility, making it suitable for complex aerospace components that demand tight tolerances and excellent finishes. It also serves industries such as medical devices, automotive parts, agriculture, and heavy trucking. “The BA 322i is a prime example of how SW North America combines precision engineering with intelligent automation to meet the evolving needs of medical, aerospace, and automotive manufacturers,” said Mark Reichenbacher, President and CEO of SW North America. The company invites attendees to visit booth 1318 at EASTEC to see firsthand how the BA 322i can reduce downtime, increase output, and deliver exceptional quality in a compact manufacturing footprint.
