Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched its first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, at its manufacturing facility in Gurugram. This marks a significant entry into India’s growing electric two-wheeler market, offering a cutting-edge solution for urban commuters. The e-ACCESS, which was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, is set to cater to the rising demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions in India’s bustling cities.
The e-ACCESS is designed with advanced technology and eco-friendly features to meet the needs of daily commuters. It is powered by a Lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its long lifespan and excellent heat stability, ensuring that the scooter can perform reliably under various conditions. Additionally, the battery’s composition enhances its safety, making it a solid choice for everyday use.
This electric scooter boasts several innovative features aimed at enhancing the rider experience. The regenerative braking system helps in converting kinetic energy into electrical energy, thereby increasing the scooter’s overall efficiency. The maintenance-free belt drive system reduces the need for frequent maintenance, offering a hassle-free experience for owners. Furthermore, the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e) allows users to choose between different riding modes, including an eco mode for energy conservation and a reverse mode that makes parking in tight spaces much easier.
Suzuki has emphasized the importance of reliability in the e-ACCESS, with stringent tests carried out on its battery and key components. These tests, including drop, vibration, temperature, and crush tests, ensure that the scooter meets high safety standards, offering peace of mind to customers. This focus on durability and performance reflects Suzuki’s commitment to delivering products that can withstand the challenges of daily urban commuting.
In line with the launch of the e-ACCESS, Suzuki Motorcycle India is working to prepare its dealer network for the growing demand for electric two-wheelers. Dealers across India are being equipped with specialized technical staff and dedicated service infrastructure to support the unique needs of electric vehicles. This ensures that customers have access to reliable sales and service for their new electric scooters, enhancing the overall customer experience.
The company’s dealer training programs focus on providing expertise in areas such as battery care, maintenance, and charging infrastructure, which are crucial for the success of electric vehicles. Suzuki’s efforts to build a strong after-sales service network will play a pivotal role in increasing customer confidence in electric mobility.
Suzuki’s e-ACCESS launch represents the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility and green commuting in India. As part of its larger strategy to expand its footprint in the electric vehicle (EV) market, Suzuki aims to contribute to India’s green transition by offering an affordable, smart, and environmentally friendly transportation solution. The e-ACCESS provides an alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, helping to reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner air in urban areas.
Suzuki is also focusing on the development of charging infrastructure to ensure that the e-ACCESS and other electric vehicles can be conveniently charged, which is essential to drive the widespread adoption of EVs in India. By offering innovative solutions that cater to the needs of urban commuters, Suzuki is positioning itself as a key player in India’s EV revolution.
With the introduction of the e-ACCESS, Suzuki is not only entering the electric two-wheeler market but is also taking a bold step toward shaping the future of sustainable mobility in India. As the country increasingly turns toward greener transportation solutions, Suzuki’s focus on smart features, safety, and reliable service infrastructure sets the stage for the successful adoption of electric vehicles. The e-ACCESS is expected to appeal to tech-savvy urban commuters who prioritize eco-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective transportation.
Suzuki’s entry into India’s electric two-wheeler market signifies a broader shift toward embracing eco-friendly technologies in the country’s transportation sector, and with its robust dealer and service network, the e-ACCESS is poised to play a significant role in the electric mobility ecosystem.
