Supertec Machinery Inc. continues to deliver innovative grinding solutions with its two powerful models, the G25P Complex Cam Grinding Machine and the EGM-80CNC Twin-Spindle ID/OD Grinder, designed to cater to diverse grinding needs in a wide range of industries.
The Supertec G25P series cam grinding machine is available in three versions, offering flexible grinding solutions for various cam and non-round grinding applications. These models include:
These machines are equipped with PC-based Bosch Rexroth controls and Delta software, providing highly specialized capabilities for both cam and non-round grinding. The Bosch Rexroth control system is designed specifically for cam grinding, offering superior accuracy and flexibility in grinding operations. The inclusion of a Babbit bearing spindle in the wheelhead allows for maximum performance and optimal part surface finish, ensuring that every component is ground to precision. Additionally, the Bosch Rexroth linear motor ensures superior accuracy, repeatability, and consistent high-performance grinding results.
The workhead features an NN bearing-type spindle with an MT3 center taper, capable of handling up to 220 lbs between centers, making the G25P ideal for a variety of complex grinding applications.
Moreover, Supertec offers a range of customizable options, including a touch probe, automatic sizing device, dynamic wheel balancer, and various automatic loading/unloading systems to enhance productivity and convenience. These features make the G25P a versatile machine, suitable for high-precision cam grinding and beyond.
For machine shops with limited floor space but high precision requirements, the Supertec EGM-80CNC offers an excellent solution. This twin-spindle ID/OD grinder is designed with a compact footprint of just 7′ × 6′, making it ideal for shops that need to maximize space efficiency without sacrificing performance.
The EGM-80CNC comes equipped with a Mitsubishi M80 control featuring conversational shopfloor language, enabling easy operation and integration into diverse workflows. With a maximum workpiece diameter of 9″ and a workpiece length of up to 3″, the EGM-80CNC is perfectly suited for smaller workpieces, making it an ideal choice for shops specializing in miniature or small-scale components.
One of the key features of this machine is its universal workhead, which incorporates an A2-4 spindle nose and a hydraulic three-jaw chuck that offers a swivel range of approximately +45 degrees to -10 degrees. This versatility allows for efficient grinding of both internal (ID) and external (OD) surfaces, making the EGM-80CNC suitable for a broad range of grinding applications.
The machine also boasts several performance features:
The X, Y, and Z axes are servo motor-driven, ensuring smooth and reliable performance across all grinding operations. These features combined enable the EGM-80CNC to deliver both high precision and flexibility, making it an excellent choice for machine shops where space and efficiency are crucial.
Supertec Machinery’s G25P Complex Cam Grinding Machine and EGM-80CNC Twin-Spindle ID/OD Grinder represent a comprehensive range of solutions for various grinding needs. Whether it’s high-precision cam and non-round grinding or compact, high-speed ID/OD grinding for smaller workpieces, Supertec continues to offer flexible, reliable, and high-performance grinding solutions. These machines exemplify Supertec’s commitment to innovation, quality, and providing manufacturing businesses with the tools they need to stay competitive in a fast-evolving industry.
