Sunrakshakk Industries Commences Operations at New FMCG Manufacturing Facility in Guwahati!
Sunrakshakk Industries India Ltd has commenced commercial operations at its new FMCG manufacturing facility in Guwahati, Assam, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into fast-moving consumer goods and FMCG intermediates. The commissioning of the Guwahati unit strengthens Sunrakshakk’s manufacturing footprint in eastern India and supports its strategy to build a diversified, pan-India FMCG platform with scalable production capabilities.
The new Guwahati facility has an installed capacity of 2,160 metric tonnes per month for soap noodles and 1,000 metric tonnes per month for cosmetic products, positioning it as a key production hub within the company’s FMCG portfolio. With this addition, Sunrakshakk now operates FMCG manufacturing units in Guwahati, Bhilwara, and Roorkee, creating a multi-location manufacturing network that enhances operational flexibility and supply chain resilience.
By distributing production capacity across multiple regions, the company aims to optimize production planning and logistics while improving responsiveness to market demand. The geographically spread manufacturing base is expected to reduce delivery timelines, lower transportation costs, and enable more efficient utilization of resources across facilities. This networked approach also allows Sunrakshakk to balance production loads between plants and mitigate operational risks associated with single-location dependency.
The Guwahati plant plays a strategic role in supporting Sunrakshakk’s medium-term growth roadmap, which emphasizes capacity expansion, product diversification, and wider geographic reach. The company is steadily scaling its presence across personal care, home care, FMCG intermediates, and edible product categories, backed by continued investments in infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities. As capacity utilization improves, these initiatives are expected to enhance operating leverage and provide greater revenue visibility.
From a regional perspective, the Guwahati facility also strengthens Sunrakshakk’s ability to serve northeastern and eastern markets more efficiently, while supporting distribution to other parts of the country. The location offers logistical advantages and access to emerging consumer markets, aligning with the company’s ambition to grow its national FMCG footprint.
Commenting on the development, Saurabh Chhabra, Promoter and Director of Sunrakshakk Industries India Ltd, said the commissioning of the Guwahati plant enhances the company’s overall manufacturing ecosystem and reinforces its pan-India presence. He noted that the integrated network of facilities positions Sunrakshakk to scale FMCG operations in a structured manner while maintaining efficiency, consistency, and quality in production.
With the Guwahati unit now operational, Sunrakshakk Industries takes another step toward establishing itself as a diversified FMCG manufacturing player, leveraging multi-location capacity, operational discipline, and infrastructure-led growth to support its long-term expansion strategy.
