Starrag has introduced the new Heckert H100 compact machining centre, designed to provide maximum precision and speed in a compact size. Replacing the previous Heckert HEC 1000 4-axis centre, the H100 delivers enhanced capabilities while maintaining a small footprint that fits seamlessly into modern manufacturing environments.
With a pallet size of 39 inches (1,000 mm), the Heckert H100 offers impressive travel paths of 69 inches (1,750 mm) along the X-axis, 51 inches (1,300 mm) along the Y-axis, and 55 inches (1,400 mm) along the Z-axis. For those requiring even more flexibility, the Y-travel can be extended to 55 inches (1,400 mm), and the Z-travel can be extended up to 71 inches (1,800 mm). The machine’s displacement circle diameter reaches up to 79 inches (2,000 mm), making it suitable for machining both large and heavy parts, with a loading weight capacity of 8,818 lbs (4,000 kg).
Despite its compact size, the H100 is engineered for high performance, providing the precision and speed expected from larger machines. The integration of this machining centre into manufacturing systems is simplified with its easy automation capabilities, including extended clamping hydraulics and streamlined interfaces for pallet storage systems and robotic cells. These features allow for seamless automation, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Additionally, the machine offers improved integration into existing infrastructure with central connections for technological cold water, cooling lubricant, and data exchange, ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow. The H100 also provides customers with a broader selection of spindles to suit a variety of machining needs, making it versatile for a range of industries.
The Starrag Heckert H100 is a game-changer for manufacturers looking to combine the power of large machining centres with the compactness and efficiency of a smaller machine. Its ability to handle heavy, large parts while offering high-speed precision and easy automation makes it an ideal choice for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and heavy equipment manufacturing. This innovative solution redefines what’s possible in compact machining centres, delivering superior results in a smaller package.
