Renesas Expands Presence in India with New R&D Hubs and Strategic Partnerships!
Renesas Electronics Corporation, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, has significantly expanded its operations in India…
Star SU has announced a strategic partnership with the REGO-FIX Center for Machining Excellence (CME) to promote its growing Louis Belet line of Swiss cutting tools. This collaboration, taking place at the Whitestown, Indiana-based CME facility, aims to highlight Star SU’s advanced micro tool solutions, particularly the capabilities of Louis Belet micro tools, known for their precision and speed in machining operations.
The partnership showcases Louis Belet micro tools designed to reduce drilling cycle times significantly. The new tools are capable of drilling holes 3x to 4x faster than previous models, such as the 374H drill, making them ideal for high-speed and precise machining operations. This innovation aligns with Star SU’s commitment to providing cutting-edge tooling solutions that help manufacturers enhance their efficiency and productivity.
The REGO-FIX CME serves as a hub for collaborative machining technologies, and Star SU is proud to be a part of this innovative space. The CME facility is designed to bring together multiple manufacturing technologies in one location, allowing for the demonstration of advanced machining techniques and micro tooling solutions. This partnership represents a significant step in Star SU’s effort to expand its reach and promote its specialized products to a broader audience of manufacturers.
As part of the collaboration, the CME will host several machining events where Star SU will showcase its products, including the upcoming ‘Indy Days’ Open House on May 14th and 15th, 2025. This event will bring together suppliers, customers, and industry experts for live demonstrations, networking, and discussions on application successes. Star SU personnel will be present at the event to run demonstrations, answer questions, and engage in discussions about industry trends and machining techniques.
In addition to product demonstrations, Star SU will leverage the CME’s resources for training and education, focusing on the application of evolving technologies and innovative tooling solutions that help improve machining performance across various industries.
The partnership with CME also allows Star SU to further expand its tool offerings. Tim Murdock, Key Account Manager at Star Cutter, explained that the Louis Belet line rounds out their tool portfolio by adding gear tool fine pitch designs and micro tools that reach diameters as small as 0.02 mm. This range of advanced tooling solutions bridges the gaps between man, method, material, and machine, allowing manufacturers to process parts more efficiently and with greater precision.
The partnership between Star SU and REGO-FIX CME is a significant move toward advancing micro tooling technology in the machining industry. By providing high-performance solutions and innovative products like the Louis Belet micro tools, Star SU is positioning itself as a leader in precision tooling, helping manufacturers optimize their processes and achieve higher productivity. With the support of the CME facility and upcoming industry events, Star SU is set to make a lasting impact on manufacturing performance in various sectors.
